A pop-in event to celebrate #CitizenFriday

#CitizenFriday is an anti-Black Friday campaign started by Re-Action Collective in 2023.
Companies use Black Friday as a way to manipulate people into buying things they don’t need or even want, just because they’re *apparently* cheaper than usual. This annual overconsumption frenzy has a high toll on our planet.
#CitizenFriday provides an alternative to this approach that promotes agency, benefits body and soul and limits our impact on the environment.
On Friday 27th November there will be #CitizenFriday gatherings in many different places where people meet in person to share, repair and get some fresh air but if you can’t make it to any of those places and can’t host your own, you’re welcome to join our Zoom room and share your own way of practicing being a citizen, not a consumer.
