‘ED (not quite TED) Talks – What to do when your kid wants to be a YouTuber

11th December 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

18 minutes of passion, talent and fun!

Does your child aspire to a career of eating cake on camera? Do they tell you that they don’t need their GCSE maths because they’re going to be the next Zoella? Do they put more effort into their gaming live streams than they do their Geography homework? In this talk Charlotte Steggall will explore how to help your child be a little less PewDiePie and a little more PhD.

Here are some of the things Charlotte is passionate about:
✏️ There are amazing young people out there who lack opportunity. How can they be helped?
✏️ It’s hard for a young person to make informed choices when it comes to their next steps. How can information about Higher Education and Apprenticeships be better delivered?
✏️ Lots of companies out there miss out on great talent because they only hire graduates from certain universities, or have a brand image that’s off-putting to a diverse pipeline. How can I use my knowledge about the next generation to fix that?

To attend Register on Zoom

We believe that everybody is much more than their business so we’re giving people a chance to share their passions and interests in our own version of TED Talks.

Volunteers get 18 minutes on a Zoom call with a live audience to talk about their topic, with or without slides.

(Sales pitches will be muted and booted)

If you’d like to take part, pick a date (Fridays 1-2pm) add your name and topic to the list and we’ll be in touch.
