‘ED (not quite TED) Talks – How to live somewhere nowhere
26th February @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Homesteading – is it the good life?
In 2018 Gary Dickenson and his family moved to Latvia to his wife’s family’s smallholding and decided to make a go of it, living ‘the good life’ working towards self sufficiency.
Almost overnight it required a completely different skillset and mindset but somehow it worked, swapping a desk for a table saw, a pen for a spade.
Join us as we find out how the family survived a change of country, language, pace and culture.
If you want to get a taste of what Gary and his family are doing then check out their YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/c/BalticHomesteaders
To attend Register on Zoom
We believe that everybody is much more than their business so we’re giving people a chance to share their passions and interests in our own version of TED Talks.
Volunteers get 18 minutes on a Zoom call with a live audience to talk about their topic, with or without slides.
See all past recordings on Medium
If you’d like to take part, pick a date (Fridays 1-2pm) add your name and topic to the list and we’ll be in touch.
